Pastor Goddard was raised in a good moral home, but without church. He met his wife, Tammy, in the 8th grade. Pastor Goddard did not hear the Gospel until after he graduated from high school. Two years later, he was enrolled in Bible college to train for the ministry. In 1981, he and his sweetheart were married.
The following year, he graduated from Hyles-Anderson College, and in July of 1982, he knocked on his first door starting Faith Baptist Church.
The Goddards have four children, Joshua, Hannah, Esther, and Josiah, and three grandchildren with more on the way.
Josh and his wife Carly have three children, Bryce, Grace, and Kaylee. Josh serves here at FBC as an assistant Pastor and is our Jr. High Youth Director.
Hannah’s husband, Jordan Flesher is an assistant pastor at Rosedale Baptist Chruch in Baltimore, Maryland. She works on the secretarial staff of the church. They are expecting their first child in November.
Esther graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She is currently pursuing her masters degree while working on staff at the college.
Josiah is still living at home enjoying his teen years.
