Visiting Faith Baptist Church
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. We want to help you relax and enjoy your visit. Your first visit to FBC will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and at home! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
When are your services?
Our main services are on Sunday mornings at 9:00am for English-speaking people and at 12:00pm for our Spanish-speaking people. Since our English and Spanish ministries are independent of one another, we have answered questions under each ministry that apply to that ministry.

How do I get to Faith Baptist Church?
It’s Simple! Just click the “Get Directions” link below the map right here.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Our church campus is located at the intersection of Mission Trail (also called Palomar further south) and Walnut Street. There are two main auditoriums – one for the English, and one for the Spanish. Our English auditorium is in the lower building on the property, on the left hand side of our main entrance. Our parking attendants will help you find a place to park, and as you enter the church building, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have. Our Spanish auditorium is located in the upper building on our campus, and the entrance is located at the left hand side of our upper parking lot (the upper parking lot is located to the right of our main entrance).
Most adults attend the church service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir and the uplifting special music. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Goddard. This service is a little over one hour in length. Also, at 10:15am there are adult Bible classes. These classes consist of a smaller group setting where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly fitted to your age and situation. We have classes created specifically for college students, teens, married couples, singles, seniors, and many other groups of people. We want you to find a class where you will be happy and find many people who are able to relate well with you, and eventually become great friends with you. The best way to get to know people at FBC is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with our excellent nurseries, there is something special for children of every age. At every service there is a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For the nursery age children, you will check your child into the nursery. This ensures that your child is safely kept in the nursery and keeps your child safe in the nursery after entering. On Sunday morning, children three years old through sixth grade have fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. When you arrive, our greeters and ushers are located around campus as well as in the lobby, and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.
What about my teens?
We have an exciting program tailored for our teenagers. The Junior High and High School Departments each have an exciting program of their own. Both departments have Sunday school classes for each grade and attend the morning church service with Pastor Goddard. Many teen activities are planned each month to give the teens social time in a fun, clean environment.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at FBC for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at FBC!
Who is Pastor Bruce Goddard?
Pastor Bruce Goddard has been the English Pastor of FBC for nearly 30 years. He is also the founder of our church, having established our ministry with his family in a tent in the early 1980s. You may read more about him here.
Am I expected to participate in the Offering?
No. We don’t invite you to FBC for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find a warm family spirit in this place, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. You may also email us here at the church and we will help answer any questions you may have. Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you have attended church at all, we hope your first visit at FBC will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you step onto our campus! Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
