Mission
Faith Baptist Academy was founded in 1989 as a help to the members of Faith Baptist Church. From the beginning, our goal has been to assist parents in equipping their children to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter the career choice, a person can only find true peace and fulfillment in pleasing the Lord by following His will. The Academy partners with parents and Faith Baptist Church to create a triple stranded bond to the heart of the child. When each fulfills their respective roles, the student has a far greater chance of accomplishing the aforementioned goals.
Curriculum
The book of Proverbs states that “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” The aim of education ought to be the development of wisdom and understanding. The Academy curriculum is comprised of the common coursework as well as daily Biblical instruction. Standardized testing routinely reveals students at least one grade level above national norms.
Staff
All of the teachers have earned, as a minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree. They have been chosen for their academic ability as well as their Christian character. Teachers don’t just teach subjects, they exemplify the successful Christian life. Students not only see their teachers at school, they observe their teachers serving in the church.
Environment
Students experience an atmosphere of peace and virtue. Respect in the classroom, a quiet work environment, and moral conversation all foster an environment that is conducive to learning. Students enjoy an atmosphere free from immorality.
Graduates
If the “proof of the pudding is in the eating,” as the saying goes, then the graduates of the Academy are proof enough. Over 90% have gone on to higher education. Almost 95% still faithfully attend and serve in a local church. Many have entered Christian ministry as a career and most are leading happy, productive lives, serving the Lord.
Athletics
Believing athletics not only reveals character, but also builds character. Students engage in inter-school athletics beginning in the 7th grade. Partnering with our church, intramural athletics are available for the elementary. All grades engage in physical education throughout the week.
Computers
Keeping students abreast of the information technology is a priority at the Academy. Graduates will have mastered keyboarding, use of the Microsoft Office products, and graphic design with the Adobe products. The senior class designs and creates the annual yearbook. Many graduates have found employment in graphic design after completing this coursework.
