Young At Heart

The Young at Heart class was started 10 years ago to provide single and married senior adults the opportunity to make new friends and developing lasting friendships through various outings and activities while growing in Christ together.  Each Sunday morning is started with a 30 minute food and fellowship time to share the experiences from the previous week and to enjoy a morning beverage and snack.

The Young at Heart adult Bible study meets at 8:00AM Sunday mornings, prior to the morning church service.  Approximately fifty of our faithful members gather in the church auditorium for the singing of hymns and practical lessons from the Word of God.  The membership of this class is very involved in ministering to the needs of one another.  It’s not uncommon for class members to join others at doctor’s offices, hospital appointments, surgeries, to sit with loved ones through difficult hours, during medical treatment, or after the loss of a loved one.  Sharing of grief, and bearing of burdens is a great part of the Christian life.  The members of the Young At Heart Sunday school class are also involved in our Christian school.  They help organize the concession stand for athletic events, and are involved in many of the fun social activities that minister to the hundreds of children who come to our church.

About the Teacher

Ted Pardo teaches the class and is frequently found visiting hospitals and in the homes of class members in times of trouble.  In spite of his busy career outside of church, Ted and his wife Debbie are available almost 24/7 for the needs of their class members.
